I had a quick catch-up dinner with a friend at Thai Bistro (5306 Yonge Street). It’s a very small place with a homey feel, and the owner is quite the character. It’s at a good location, too – just a short walking distance from Finch subway station.
SEAFOOD PAD THAI
Ooh, boy. The seafood pad thai was great – the closest in Toronto to the pad thai I’ve had in Thailand (so far!). While it’s a little pricey, the portion size was perfect and the flavour was incredible.
On a side note, one thing that baffles me a little is that the Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Toronto always hand out chopsticks. Everywhere I went in Thailand – right from touristy areas to small villages – used forks…
